This interview was recorded at Bingley Hall, Stafford on 12th November 1978. Originally intended for radio broadcast it is significant because after ABBA's two appearances at Bingley Hall they played further dates in Dublin and Glasgow and never toured Europe again. Although nobody outside the ABBA camp knew that the band were coming off the road, it seems obvious from what Benny says here that the decision had already been taken. Points covered in the interview include the formation and naming of the band, winning the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton in 1974 with Waterloo, the unsuccessful follow-up singles Ring Ring and I Do, I Do, I Do, Benny and Bjorn's songwiting partnership and ABBA's general dislike of touring. The interview lasts around 15 minutes and is digitally mastered and broadcast quality. The packaging includes a 4" x 4" colour photograph of Benny Andersson taken on the night of the interview.
