Bath and Body PO Box 251 Jamestown, CO 80455 Phone: 877-359-2008 or 303-541-1031 Fax: 303-448-0970 e-mail: christopher@goodwitchsbrew.com © 1999-2005 The Good Witch's Brew. All rights reserved. 0 This line of cold process soap, fossilized mineral salts, herbal balms, aroma roll-ons and body spritzers is the brainchild of friend and company founder Rebecca, The Good Witch of Jamestown. Each product type was created because nothing of its quality was commercially available. Rebecca's formulations are derived from a combination of studies in aromatherapy, herbal medicine and plant spirit relationships. The result has been a wonderful collection of truly effective and "magical" products growing since 1999. As owner of the Good Witch's Brew, my inspiration comes from the vitality of the natural ingredients I work with and the power they bring to Rebecca’s creations. This being a small company, I have my hand in everything from production to sales. As we get older, we tend to take greater notice of the negative impacts of toxins in our environment. Skin absorbs much more than we realize and most commercial body care products contain dozens of chemicals that may or may not be safe. Our call for "human" friendly products is answered here at the Good Witch's Brew and a growing number of other companies fighting to maintain the integrity of the natural products industry. Thank you for your support! Sincerely, Christopher, - Owner More "About Us" FAQ's... where can I buy your products | shipping | mission | samples organic | lotion | who's the good witch | secure shopping | privacy | spoofing returns | how long have you been in business | learn more about natural products (please look for additional FAQ's under each product category) Q: Where can I buy your products? A: Right here on-line! Many of our customers ask what stores carry our products near their location. Truth is, we're a tiny company. Currently, about 130 stores across the US carry portions of our line. If you've seen our products in a store near you, we encourage you to purchase directly from our retail partners. You may have to ask the manager to order items seen on our web site that are not in their store. If you haven't seen our products in a store near you, ask the manager to look into carrying Good Witch's Brew. Many of our retail stores have been established at the request of our on-line customers! (top) Q: How long will it take for you to ship my order? A: Orders placed by 5pm MST are usually shipped the next business day by either Priority or First Class mail. You should see your order in no more than five business days, but allow an extra day or two in December. Shipments outside the USA are not supported at this time. (top) Q: What is your mission statement? A: Our mission is to provide effective solutions to typical daily skin care needs using 100% natural ingredients. Good Witch’s Brew offers product purity and marketing integrity in contrast to those companies selling dirty products made from lifeless ingredients touting false claims. We firmly believe that our products assist in maintaining the highest state of mental, physical, and spiritual health possible. We also hope that our values, business ethics and respect for the environment are readily apparent in all dealings with our company. (top) Q: Do you offer free samples? A: No. In the interests of keeping our product prices low for our existing customers, we do not offer free samples. We feel that our easy return policy and low shipping and handling charges give new customers a chance to try our products with little risk or investment. (top) Q: Are your products organic? A: Yes and no. Although our products are made from food grade ingredients, certified pure essential oils and organic herbs, not all are “certified organic” in accordance with FDA standards which presently apply only to foods, not skin care products. Some have suggested we label our products 100% natural and 80% organic, but we feel that the term “organic” should be reserved exclusively for products that are in fact 100% “certified” organic. At this time, many of the certified organic ingredients available are cost prohibitive or do not meet our standards of quality. We therefore do not claim “certified” status at this time. However, it should be noted that organic certification is a process of documenting ingredient purity that we believe already exists in our products. We encourage everyone to read the ingredients listed on all skin care products, especially those using the "organic" claim. We have found that often times, those brands touting the use of "organic" ingredients also include the most common and questionable chemical based detergents, emulsifiers, and paraben preservatives. (top) Q: Why don’t you offer a lotion in your line? A: We don’t offer lotions and creams because they cannot be made without potentially harmful chemical ingredients. Whenever water and oil is mixed together, chemical preservatives and emulsifiers must be used to kill potentially harmful bacteria and prevent product separation. Truly natural creams and lotions must be refrigerated, packaged in airtight containers, and used in very short periods of time. Although we feel that these product types hold value, we have found that in most cases, the exclusive use of our emollient rich cold process soap combined with occasional treatments of our beeswax based Skin Saver Salve eliminates the need for additional moisturizing treatments. (top) Q: What’s the origin of the name “Good Witch’s Brew”? A: The founder of the company, Rebecca, was nicknamed the Good Witch of Jamestown several years ago as she frequently provided effective herbal remedies of all kinds to her friends and family. Although we do not practice “witch craft” we do attempt to connect with the spirit or essence of the plants, oils and other ingredients that we work with. And with this study we find excitement and gain satisfaction in having established such an intimate relationship with our products. (top) Q: Is it safe to order on-line with your web site? A: These days it's important for everyone to realize that nearly all banking transactions occur over computer networks at some point. Paying by check or ordering by credit card over the phone can hold the same risks as on-line ordering. This is because the company that you're doing business with may or may not be handling your information responsibly. In fact, most identity theft occurs through companies that don't even realize that their systems have been compromised. Security over the internet is based upon the use of Secure Socket Layer encryption. When you use your web browser, look for a closed padlock in the "status" bar and be sure to close your browser window or log out before leaving your computer. We use two well established and experienced companies to handle our data. Virtual Cart and Authorize.net employ the latest security technologies and processing protocol. Good Witch's Brew has been an on-line retailer since 1999. (top) Q: How do you handle my personal information? A: The Good Witch's Brew respects your privacy as well as the protection of your personal identity. We don't sell your name to any other company for any purpose. This means you won't receive unsolicited calls, junk mail, or spam as a result of doing business with us or requesting information from us. We also take every practical measure we know of to ensure the security of any of our records that may contain your personal information. Our databases are encrypted, computers firewalled, and our on-line credit card processing is handled through industry leader Authorize.net. (top) Q: What is spoofing? A: The on-line retail community has grown immensely and so have the number of scam artists and the methods used to extract money from unsuspecting victims. One of the latest methods to date is called "spoofing" which usually entails a scam artist pretending to be a business entity. We want to let our customers know to be suspicious of any unsolicited e-mails requesting personal information, especially credit card numbers. We won't ask for this type of information unless you've contacted us first or recently placed an order. Remember, never use regular e-mail to send credit card info and please be sure to check that the web address you're visiting begins with www.goodwitchsbrew.com or www.goodwitchesbrew.com. Any other domain isn't us, even if the page looks like ours. If you receive a suspicious e-mail or have any questions, please call us. (top) Q: What is your return policy? A: Returns of all saleable items will be accepted with no question up to 30 days after the shipping date for full refund minus original shipping costs. If you are unhappy with a product for any reason at any time after product purchase, please let us know and we may elect to replace the product in question. (top) Q: How long has Good Witch's Brew been in business? A: Good Witch's Brew has been an on-line retailer since 1999. (top) Q: How can I learn more about natural skin care products? A: Check out our "resources" page for links to other sites of interest, books and references. It's good to become familiar with certain key issues in order to make wise purchase decisions. Many truly "natural" and "organic" companies do a great job of providing clean products. However, we all need to be aware that the lucrative "natural products" industry attracts a staggering number of business players just wishing to "cash in" by selling the same chemically laden products available in the mainstream market, only with a natural or organic label.
