And, the recipe….A couple cups of great northern beans (soaked for a couple of hours, if not overnight)Four onions, slicedA 2 and 1/2 cups of apples, seed and slice emEnough water to cover beans for cooking (4 to 6 cups) 1 TBSP mustard powderMolasses 2 TBSP2 tsp sea saltMaple syrup, 1/3 of a cup and some, I like it sweet½ cup of tomato pasteTouch of oil, olive, corn…whatever works for you…but, just a drizzle to sauté your onions….but, first:Step one, cook your beans:You’ve got two choices with the beans, boil them (a little over an hour) or pressure-cook them, a few minutes (15) until tender, not soft..But, cook your beans….All the while sauté: Onions in your drizzle of oil and till they are golden brown and brilliant!
