2006 Twomey Cellars Pinot Noir Russian River
The 2006 Twomey Russian River Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced wine that expresses great elegance and depth. The wine was aged for 13 months in French Burgundy barrels, with eight months spent sur lies. It displays a red sapphire color and aromas of dried rose petal, strawberry jam, potpourri and cinnamon. The initial impression on the palate is of fresh strawberry and cherry, followed by a generous fullness, good acid balance and a long finish of dried herbs.$49.95/btl

2006 Ketcham Estate Pinot Noir Russian River
The wine is crafted from two vineyards - 80% Ketcham Vineyard and 20% O'Neel Vineyard. The nose is pure Russian River Valley with signature spice and bright cherry and raspberry fruits. The wines from these vineyards always show firm acidity, and this vintage is no exception. The palate has red fruit, mineral, spice and cola, and shows a softer side than the 2005. Only 840 cases produced. Michael Browne (of Kosta Browne fame) is the winemaker.$37.95/btl
