Contact Number:   954.253.0339 Website:           www.artsports.com Artist Debbie Sampson chosen to exhibit one (1) piece each for Gibson Guitar Town Orlando and for the Florida Youth Orchestra’s (FYO )Painted Violin Project.   For Guitar Town, Ms. Sampson was presented an unfinished guitar by Gibson and from the FYO  a violin.  She will then take the instruments and create a new piece of artwork on the instruments themselves for each organization to auction their respective instruments for charity.  For the Gibson project Ms. Sampson was awarded one of the regularsize showcase guitars to create on. Gibson Guitar, the world's premier musical instrument manufacturer announced the launch of Orlando Guitar Town, presented by the musical instrument giant.Orlando Guitar Town is a public arts project featuring ten-foot tall fiberglass Gibson Les Paul model guitars and a series of regular size showcase guitars artistically designed and painted by local and nationally acclaimed visual artists and placed throughout Orlando in front of city landmarks, sponsor locations and other popular destinations for several months. “The Gibson Guitar Town program will further Orlando as one of the great cultural hubs in the nation and yes, internationally,” said the Honorable Mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer. "Orlando makes for the perfect destination for Gibson's Orlando Guitar Town exhibit. With it's worldwide appeal as a top tourist destination and vibrant artsand entertainment community, it is a perfect setting for this city wide project," said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of presenting sponsor Gibson Guitar. The guitars will officially be unveiled in a massive citywide event in September2008 and will complete a "tour" of the city in the Spring, 2009. A Gala Auction event conducted by world-renowned Juliens Auctions will be held with all proceeds benefitting local charities to be announced. About The Artist

 My specialty captures the triumph and energy of professional athletic competition primarily with oil on canvas as well as graphite pieces. I work very closely with every client to develop a unique piece of art, ensuring complete satisfaction. My attention to detail makes my work a popular choice of professional athletes, their fans, as well as corporations among many others. Beginning in the late 1990’s my paintings gained national recognition with appearances on CNN, ESPN, Channel 7 (Fox – Miami) and the Sunshine Network (Cable – Florida). Numerous articles covering my accomplishments appeared in USA Today, The Miami Herald, and The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. My works appeared on covers of major publications such as ‘The Sports Collectible Digest’ and 'Dan's Papers' (Weekly publication, New York City and The Hampton's). I’ve been honored with my works selected for Official Posters for the ‘Dressage on The First Coast FEI Great American/USDF Region 3 Championships’ (held in Jacksonville, Florida 2005), ‘The Aventura Festival of the Arts’ (Aventura, Florida 1994), and a Limited Edition lithograph of Scott Mellanby distributed by the Florida Panthers Hockey Club.  Originally I started oil painting with private lessons for a year when I was 10 years old. When I moved to Florida from New York at age14, I stopped painting and focused on showing my horse at hunter/jumper shows. In the late 1980’s, I picked up a brush and resumed painting wildlife and showing my work while running my martial arts studio. My motivation for painting professional athletes evolved as a personal choice from an aesthetically pleasing piece for my own studio in 1993. When I brought it to an autograph session by this Florida Marlin, he loved it so much that he purchased it. This was the epiphany that drew me to create more in this same vein from which I have carved an enjoyable and successful career. The rest is art/sports history.  I have displayed my work at Dolphin (Pro-Player) Stadium with the Florida Marlins, The Miami Dolphins, The Orange Bowl, The Florida Panther's Hockey Club, The Baltimore Orioles, The Orlando Museum of Art, Calder Race Course and many fine art shows thru-out the country. I also work with graphite pencil and charcoal and can be commissioned for a custom piece of any player, pet specializing in horses.
