BARBERSHOP ARRANGEMENTS BY TOBAN DVORETZKY
* List of arrangements is current as of 13 March 1998.
* All arrangements are for male voices.
* Most selections are suitable for SPEBSQSA contests, usually exceptionally
so.
* Arranger was certified as an Arrangement Category Judge by SPEBSQSA.
* All arrangements have been peer-reviewed for correctness and quality.
* All arrangements are legible/readable enough to preclude frustration.
* For easy learning & rehearsal, all measures in each arrangement
are numbered.
Of those arrangements keyed as both "Public Domain" (P.D.) and "available
from Kenosha," you may order copies either from:
Tom Barr, Old Songs Librarian
tel. = (800) 876-7464
SPEBSQSA, Inc.
E-M. = TBarr@spebsqsa.org
6315 Third Avenue
Kenosha, WI 53143-5199, U.S.A.
or from me:
Mr. Toban Dvoretzky
home tel. = (281) 876-0888
14531 Ella Blvd., #3806
home E-M. = TBone@selec.net
Houston, TX 77014-2558, U.S.A.
work E-M. = TBone@jetson.uh.edu
It's generally difficult to reach me by telephone, but the best time
to
call tends to be 8 p.m.-midnight Central Time.
Please order from Kenosha any arrangement keyed
as "not P.D.;
copyright is cleared."
It is necessary that I apply for "permission
to arrange" and pay
applicable fees for songs still protected by U.S. copyright regulations.
None will be released until the legalities have been fulfilled.
Please
contact me directly to inquire about the status of these charts before
you
ask to order one from me.
PROCEDURES FOR ORDERING ONE OR MORE ARRANGEMENTS:
1. From Tom Barr in Kenosha -- contact him for instructions. The
fees are
quite nominal, and his turnaround of orders is excellent.
2. From me -- send me the following:
a. The titles of the songs you wish to order.
b. Your complete "physical" mailing address, with
name and telephone number.
(If you hand-write this
information, please write legibly!)
c. A check or money-order for $7 (U.S. funds) per
P.D. arrangement to me
at my address above.
Sending cash through the mail is risky, but you
might get away with it if
you disguise the cash within the envelope.
I strive for prompt turnaround (48 hours) of all orders.
CAUTION: Please, please pick charts at a level of difficulty that
YOU CAN
HANDLE. There is no reward in any venue, especially Contest,
for "degree
of difficulty." It's sad when singers fall flat because they
have
undertaken material beyond their current ability. If you end
up selecting
one of these that proves too difficult overall, abandon it for the
time
being. Sing something simpler instead, and revisit my material
in a few
months to see if it will work better for you than it initially did.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours for an old song,
TOBAN DVORETZKY
