Prince P-200 - We are the sole distributor for all P-200 parts and service. In today’s stringing machine market, many people are confused on what to buy, what a machine will do, and how it operates. We hope this fact sheet will help you understand the process a little better. Will your machines string any type of racquet? All machines we sell will string all the various shapes and sizes, i.e., wide body, oversize, super, mid, tennis, squash, badminton, and racquetball. Why use Tennis Machines, Inc. for repairs? The manufacturer cannot promise repair within a certain time period. Tennis Machines, however, will likely have you back in business within one week after they receive your shipment. Do you sell used equipment? Yes, but our inventory changes daily so you will have to call us ( [USA] 1-800-572-1055 or (636) 394-8811) to find out what is in stock. Do you do warranty repairs? If you purchased your machine from Tennis Machines, Inc. we will do warranty repairs. If not, check the manufacturer first for warranty repairs. If your machine is out of warranty, give us a call. Who pays the shipping cost for repairs? The customer pays for shipping both ways. What is the most common problem facing stringers? Jim says it's string clamp slippage and accurate string tensioning. The company overhauls and replaces more clamps and tension assemblies than any other part. The average turn around time is 1-2 days on most repairs. What are some of the terms you use? Constant pull: the fact that all electric type machines, and all drop weight machines, while pulling to the preset tension, are pulling stronger (and a longer time) than crank type machines, or this could be also called "pre-stretch," and an accepted fact is that constant pull machines will string 3# - 4# tighter than crank type. Crank type tension: the pulling or turning of a handle to the pre-set tension, machine then locks and holds. Drop weight tension: letting the weight bar rest at a horizontal level, at a preset tension, for either portable or professional. Fixed clamps: string clamps move on a glide bar to the string holding position and when the handle is locked, they hold stationary or "fixed" at that position. Portables: also called table top models, weight less than 50# and are used by setting them on a table, counter, or desk. Professional models: column-type stand-up operation machines. Tension range: 10# to 90#, varies. column-type stand-up operation machines. Tension range: 10# to 90#, varies. column-type stand-up operation machines. Tension range: 10# to 90#, varies. 2 point or 2 post clamping: where both throat and head are clamped down tight against the machine risers or stocks. 4 point: where the racquet is held in position by 2 clamp down posts at throat and head and has an additional 2 point frame retainer on the outside of the frame for added frame strength and stability. Usually these 2 frame retainers are located at approximately 3:00 and 9:00. 6 point: where the racquet is held by either 2 clamp down posts or 2 pressure type posts at the throat and head and 4 additional outside frame retainers. At approximately 2:00, 4:00, 8:00, and 10:00 positions. 6 points "V" or angle retainers: racquet is held stationary by a 4 point suspension system or 4 point angle pressure system in addition to the 2 throat and head posts. 360 degrees swivel clamps: movable to any clamping position in a 360 degree radius, then locking to the table and to the string and become "fixed" in position.
